Digital media artists get featured on PECO Building
For the next few months, artists will have a chance to display their digital work on the iconic PECO Building’s crown lights. The opportunity comes from Art in the Air, a joint project between University City Science’s Breadboard technology arts program and PECO.
Brick Purchases Garbage Trucks, Score Board for Sports Complex
Brick Township has purchased two additional rear-loading garbage trucks as well as a new scoreboard for the Drum Point Sports Complex. The two garbage trucks were purchased for $199,750 each for a total contract of $399,500. The new scoreboard sign will cost $43,372, with the contract for its installation having been awarded to Eastern Sign Tech of Burlington.
Providence’s Dunkin’ Donuts Center’s new videoboard installation to be completed this month
According to the Providence Journal, a new videoboard is being installed at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center. The $700,000 project will be finished later this month. “This is going to be the best looking screen anywhere,” said John Dunphy, the owner of Eastern Sign Tech, to the Journal. “It’s all about the screen resolution and nothing will compare to this.”

PhillyDeals: Sixers-Flyers arena gets a new name – again
Halfway into a 29-year, $40 million naming-rights deal, the South Philly arena that’s home to the NBA Sixers, NHL Flyers, and a lot of high-priced pop-music shows is getting its fourth new name. The 21,000-seat auditorium, formerly named after the vanished CoreStates, First Union, and Wachovia banks, is now the Wells Fargo Center, President Peter Luukko of owner Comcast-Spectacor said Tuesday.
Newly installed video scoreboard to enhance fan experience at Events Center
When Binghamton women’s basketball guard Jasmine Sina sinks a three from the left wing this winter, fans won’t just notice the number on the Event Center’s scoreboard rise by three. They will instead watch the newly-installed video scoreboard come alive with a replay of the shot and Sina’s name flashing brightly on each of its four LED panels. The board, which is 18 feet, 2 inches wide, and 14 feet high, will also be used to display relevant statistics, graphics, and shots of fans in attendance at games.

Fashion District of Philadelphia Integrates Led Display Technology Into New Development
PHILADELPHIA — The Fashion District of Philadelphia, a 900,000-square-foot joint venture between real-estate developers PREIT and Macerich, recently added a mixture of indoor and outdoor direct-view LED screens from SNA Displays. The displays are part of a comprehensive promotional platform created for the project by Sensory Interactive. This promotional platform uses a wide range of digital and static elements on the project’s interior and exterior to animate the building façade, deliver sponsored content, and promote the project and its tenants.
